Due to the high costs accrued because of over due library materials, the Graves County Public Library has the following Over Due Policy.

Beginning July 1, 2009 a limit of 15 items per patron may be borrowed from the library. All library privileges will be suspended, temporarily, while you have over due library property. When you return all library materials, your library card will be active once again.

If you keep library materials after the 21-day check out period for books, periodicals and audios, or the 7-day check out for movies, you may not check out any further materials from the library. Your computer privileges will also be suspended. When you pay for compensation on lost materials, your library privileges will be restored to you.

If you establish a pattern of being consistently over due, or after three cycles of having overdue materials, a patron may be limited at management’s discretion, to only 3 items per check out at a time. This policy may be changed or amended at any time at the library’s discretion.
